We're serious about this good intentions business. To prove it, we’re sharing some of our favorite resources for doing good, by yourself and others.

So get cracking. Do some good. Go on.

Lend a hand
Breast Cancer Fund – identifies and advocates for elimination of environmental and other preventable causes of breast cancer. Founded in 1992, the Breast Cancer Fund works from the knowledge that breast cancer is not simply a personal tragedy, but a public health priority that demands action from all. Through 2008, Sassafras will donate 3% of all Aunty Ox sales to the Breast Cancer Fund.
Check Your Boobies - promotes prevention and early detection of breast cancer through fun and interactive (but don’t worry, not hands-on) educational parties. You can even host your own - your own party, that is.
Children's Health Environmental Coalition - works to limit children’s exposure to man-made toxins in food and the environment
Vitamin Angels - provides health education and vitamin supplement donations for medically underserved and at-risk populations around the world
Fare Start - creates community and better lives for the homeless through food service and life skills training (also a fantastic place to grab lunch in Seattle)
MomsRising - works to advance family-friendly legislation in the U.S.
Taproot Foundation - provides pro bono business and creative services to non-profit organizations
Room to Read - provides educational infrastructure and opportunities for children in developing nations

Love your body

Healthnotes - unbiased and easy-to-read research and information on vitamin supplements, herbal remedies and other health topics
Studio Evolve - pilates, massage and other innovative bodywork techniques to enliven your body and mind – all in a beautiful earth-friendly “green” environment (Seattle)

Ease your mind
Pema Chodron - New York-born Tibetan Buddhist nun who teaches compassion and forgiveness – among other things – with humor, clarity and rich insight

Build community
Biznik
- “business networking that doesn’t suck”

Support good business - and your friends
Nest - a whole heap of interior redesign and consultation services for your home - that won't break your budget (Seattle area)
Assisted Transitions - services that make your life easier by making your move more manageable (Seattle area)
Big Dipper Wax Works - naturally non-toxic beeswax candles that are as good for you as they are for your home

Finally, kudos to the good and talented folks who worked on this site. You must admit, they did a fabulous job.
